About Newsong Kids

At Newsong Church, we believe children are an essential, beautiful and life-giving presence in the church. Children are not just the future, they are the present. The whole church has a responsibility to nurture and care for the children, and the whole church can be richly blessed by children and their families.
One of our hopes in planting a church was to rethink and reshape how a church ministers to families and children. Our pastoral staff and church leadership is excited for what’s in store for Newsong Kids.
With our many years of experience in ministry, we’ve prayerfully adopted the following three philosophies when it comes to children’s ministry. Please see a brief description of each.
Grace-driven Relationships
God wants us to raise kids who love Him and live for Him, and grace is the vehicle that gets us there. A child needs many relationships of grace to help them know the true grace of God.
Family-based Approach
We aim to come alongside parents and families, partnering with and equipping them to nurture and disciple a child’s heart. Newsong Kids is part of an integrated system of care for families at Newsong Church.
Gospel-centered Discipleship
Tim Keller taught us to see the gospel not as the ABCs, but as the A-to-Z of the Christian faith. Newsong Kids is not just a starting point, we pray it’s part of a life-long journey of faith for each child.

Age Groups
Newsong Kids is currently structured into three stages: Nursery, Sprouts and Buddies.
Newsong Nursery is our Family Room for infants and young toddlers for when they might need a break from the main service room. At least one parent is required to stay with their child in the Family Room. Sprouts and Buddies are our two age-development based groups where we provide appropriate lessons and activities that will teach and inspire them to get to know, love, and follow Jesus.
Grades PreK-K (Ages 3-5)
Grades 1st-4th (Ages 6-9/10)
